Professor Petri Embregts
Petri Embregts is Professor and Head of the Academic Collaborative Center for Living with an Intellectual Disability (Tranzo, Tilburg University). Her research focuses on: 1) empowering professionals; 2) empowering people with an intellectual disability and their families; and 3) developing effective interventions for people with an intellectual disability.
Dr. Noud Frielink
Since September 2011, Noud Frielink has worked as a science practitioner at Dichterbij Innovation and Science, from which he started his PhD research at Tranzo, Tilburg University. His supervisors were Professor Petri Embregts and Professor Carlo Schuengel, and the Beat the Kick research was part of his PhD thesis. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Academic Collaborative Center for Living with an Intellectual Disability at Tranzo, Tilburg University (supervisor: Professor Petri Embregts).
Annemarie Kroon MSc
Annemarie Kroon works as a psychologist at Dichterbij STEVIG, an organisation that helps people with a 7 mild intellectual disability and psychiatric disorders and / or behavioural problems. She has substantial expertise working with addiction issues among people with an intellectual disability.
Professor Carlo Schuengel
Carlo Schuengel is Professor and Head of the Department of Clinical Child and Family Studies at VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He was the second supervisor of Noud Frielink’s PhD project.
